The Town is in province of Agrigento, around to half of an ideal line that connects Palermo with Agrigento, in the Oriental area of the installation zone of the ancient Sicani. It is set to a height of 732 m. on the sealevel in a water rich territory, olive groves, almond tree, apple tree, fish, of the enormous expanses of pine, crowned from the peaks of the Mountain of the Rose (m. 1436), of the Catera Peak (m. 1192), Stagnataro Peak (m. 1346), Peak of the Swallow (m. 1246), Castelluccio Peak (m. 1011), St. Calogero Peak (m. 967), not far from the Cammarata Mount (m. 1580).

 

 

To St. Stefano Quisquina there rise the Platani, the Magazzolo, the Turvoli, that drag numerous fragments of quartz, agates and jaspers. Of ancient origin and famous execution is the craftsmanship, present in the wood sectors, of the iron, of the glass, of the marble, of the leather goods, of the embroidery, of the fires of artifice, of the alimentary products, of the manufactured articles in concrete, etc.There are present a counter of the Bank of Sicily and one from bank of Cooperative Credit of S. Biagio Platani.There, in Saint Stefano Quisquina are the Entirely Inclusiv Institute of Kindergarten, Elementary School and Average School, and, like superior institutes, the high school of the Social Sciences, the socio - psicologic - pedagogical high school and the teacher's college. In the territory, in Pietranera region, they have center the experimental fields of the Faculty of Agriculture.
